Da habe ich erhebliche Zweifel:
ssh REMOTE_USERNAME@remote_host
This should log you in without asking for a password. If it doesn't, then something must be wrong at this point and you should go through the steps above again.
Frage ich mich doch: Woher weiss denn der ssh Prozess wo er die Keys auf dem Client findet und welchen public Key er zum Server schicken soll? Auf dem Server ist das klar.
Es ist übrigens erstaunlich, wie oft man die selben "Artikel" kopiert findet. Aber besser werden sie dadurch dann doch nicht.
